Security Systems & Equipment Showcase

By | Apr 16, 2009

Card Concepts, Inc.

Card Concepts, Inc. offers laundry owners a full line of digital recording packages to fit the needs of any size self-service laundry. All systems include an easy-to-use time and date search, sound recording, high-speed remote access, adjustable recording quality and frame rate. Motion sensor recoding, image masking and trigger-based recording are just a few of the many features CCI systems offer.

These systems can be further upgraded to include multiple hard drives for extended recording, CD-RW drives for video backups. A variety of camera options are available. Although the systems are all digitally recorded, there is no PC to deal with – store owners with little or no personal computer experience can utilize and maximize all of the system’s functions with one simple remote control.

The packages come complete with cameras, a digital recorder, a flat-screen monitor, cabling and a power supply; and they can be self-installed by most laundry owners.

The CCI systems are available in four-, nine- and 16-camera packages. All of the systems are fully compatible and can be integrated into the CCI LaundryCard systems.

ESD, Inc.

For more than 30 years, ESD has designed and manufactured mechanical payment system products for worldwide distribution. As the innovator of the versatile, vertical coin slide and the originator of many high-security options, ESD is a leader the industry in bringing a wide selection of time-tested and proven slides, money boxes, locks, key shafts and cams for any self-service laundry or vending application.

LaundrySPY

LaundrySPY offers self-service laundry owners professional video surveillance packages in both embedded and PC-based formats. The company’s smaller systems support four cameras, and expand to eight- and 16-camera units – with the largest system supporting 64 cameras.

The four-camera package features a DVR that offers real time recording, superior video quality, a three-year warranty, free technical support and upgrades, two-way audio capability, remote viewing and management, alarm inputs/outputs, and more. This package also includes four dome cameras, four video cables and four power supplies.

In addition, LaundrySPY offers a full line of surveillance cameras and accessories to complete any size video surveillance project. The company supplies both laundry distributors and do-it-yourself laundromat owners.

Monarch Coin and Security, Inc.

With theft and vandalism always a concern in the coin laundry industry, Monarch Coin and Security offers full “body armor” for most toploading and side-by-side washers and dryers.

These units are ideal for smaller self-service laundries. Each guard features a closed face that covers the coin box, making theft or damage to the coin box non-issues. Guard kits have no service door. They simply slide over the existing meters and are easy to install.

Each guard kit consists of a lock plate, a lock assembly and a guard. The lock also boasts a welded ring to protect the head of the lock. What’s more, the kits are constructed of heavy-gauge, welded steel that’s nearly one-eighth of an inch thick. This product provides for easy installation, with no welding required and no holes to be drilled.

The guard kits are available for use on GE, Maytag, Speed Queen and Whirlpool machines. Custom orders for machines not listed may be available.

Telecom Products, Inc.

Are you losing money everyday? Is your laundry equipment being vandalized? Telecom Products is a sheet metal fabrication facility that specializes in coin laundry security equipment.

TPI has been an established supplier in the laundry industry for more than 20 years. The company manufactures guards/hoods, lock brackets, side plates, end caps, dryer guards and other security products for laundry owners. These products secure the meter case and moneybox from potential theft and vandalism.

The products are available for GE, Huebsch, Maytag, Speed Queen and Whirlpool machines. All of the products are fabricated from one-eighth-inch, zinc-plated metal to help prevent rusting, and then powder-coated to match customer requirements.

TPI offers a variety of guard and wrap styles to meet your needs. In addition, the company dedicates itself to provide quick turnarounds. Its products are designed and engineered in-house, and TPI has a wide variety of parts stocked in inventory.

Videx, Inc.

Videx, Inc. has introduced its new rechargeable CyberKey, which brings additional flexibility to the company’s CyberLock Electronic Lock System by giving coin laundry owners two choices of keys. The rechargeable CyberKey is an ideal choice for operators who want a small, environmentally friendly key. The original CyberKey is perfect for those who want the convenience of a key without the need for recharging. The programmability of both keys is the same so that they can be used interchangeably with the CyberLock system.

The rechargeable CyberKey is housed in a durable metal case and is comparable in size to a standard electronic car key. The need to regularly replace and discard batteries is eliminated because its lithium-ion polymer battery is rechargeable and has a battery-life of three to four years. The battery fully charges in 15 minutes to 2 hours and provides 500 openings – or one to two weeks of performance – between charges. Highly visible red and green LEDs provide feedback to the user on “access events” and key status. Keys can even be color-coded to indicate special user groups.

For companies that prefer the convenience of replacing batteries on the fly, the original CyberKey uses a three-volt lithium battery that is easy to source and replace in the field. The battery life is 2,000 to 5,000 openings, depending on the battery and settings. This key’s rugged fiberglass-reinforced case and replaceable brass tip make it a tough performer in all environments. With a green LED and an audio-beeper, the key provides important feedback to the user.

The new rechargeable CyberKey joins an impressive lineup of products offered as part of the CyberLock Electronic Lock System. With the CyberLock system, each user’s electronic key can be set to open selected locks and padlocks on specific days of the week, and only during certain times on those days. Both of the keys and the CyberLocks record openings and denied entries, providing detailed audit reporting for management.

CyberLocks are electronic cylinders that replace mechanical cylinders to convert existing lock hardware on vending and coin-operated machines, doors, cabinets and cash boxes to electronic access control systems without wiring of any kind.
