Hi: I am looking to replace a number of my single pockets with stacks. I can probably keep some or all of them for parts. For those of you have switched to stacks what have you done with your old dryers? Thanks

Especially IDC dryers. Straight to the Krusher...

Perhaps you could try some vendors in the journal. They buy old equipment, or will your vendor for your new equipment give a trade in allowance? Good Luck

I received $500 per single pocket (Dexter) when I bought stacks (Dexter) recently from my distributor. I am about to purchase some more stacks. But, I am only going to receive $300 for the single pockets I pull out.

I am almost sure they are junking them after they pull off a few usable parts. The trade in value they are giving me is to make me feel better about the whole deal (I don't feel any better). They are getting theirs in the end.

I would at least try to get some trade in value for them from your distributor. If you cannot get any trade in, at least make them haul them to the junk yard for you.

Thanks for your responses......unfortunately my new distributor has no interest in giving me money for my 15 yr old Huebsch dryers. I will probably keep some for parts and see if I can sell some through the journal. It just kills me to junk dryers that are still working very well. Did you feel that way also?

Why not try to donate a few units to some sort of local charity home. At least you might get a tax write off for the donation. Of course you should be careful to not donate any real dogs so that you don't get a bad reputation! Also, try selling some to a local car wash for drying their rags, unless the carwash(s) are some of your customers! :-) Bill
