I believe it's spelled "ariel". It doesn't sell very well in my soap machine however (I think the people that use it buy it in large bags for a buck at discount places).

Tide is without question the biggest selling soap period but the Spanish love “cheap” things and in that category “Ariel” (Thanks for the spelling noticed that after posting) is the biggest. However Ariel is not sold any more for the vending soap machines. Sells well if you have over the counter sales.

This is the story one soap supplier told me,the vend size Ariel has same small as real Ariel but it is different than the original one made in Maxico, real Ariel is not legal to make in USA because the EPA standard.

I sell alot of Ariel over the counter products. I just ordered 15 cases yesterday. 1 kilo and 1/2 kilo size. But the vend size Ariel dosen't move at all. If any one is looking for some used Greenwald coin mech timers I listed some on ebay. Just look under coin laundry or laundromat.

Mexican Ariel, sold in bags, is loaded with phosphates and enzymes. It is an excellent detergent. Ariel liquid is the same as Tide Mountain Fresh scent, but isn't nearly as good as the powder.
American Ariel, sold in boxes and since discontinued by P&G, does not compare to Mex Ariel. Hispanic Americans very quickly learned the difference and demand for it dropped to nothing. It is the worst seller in my soap vendor, and I have taken to using it for drop-off just to get rid of it.
Foca and Roma are also good sellers in the Hispanic market, mostly due to the very low price point. However, these two detergents are extremely high sudsing. Ariel is also high sudsing, but not like these other two.
Keep softener handy to kill the suds.
