I am currently in the Drycleaning Industry and am in the process of relocating my cleaners. I have about 2,500 sq. ft. of retail space and am looking at Coin-Operated Laundromats. Is this going to affect my Drycleaners profit? What is normal start-up cost? Is having an attendant for wash and fold more profitable? Is security and theft a major issue? Thanks for anyones help just eager to learn.

I only have Laundromat/Carwash with WDF, partly attended.
so I don't know much about DC
I imagine the drycleaning is fully attended. In a smaller store like you mention while the attendant might be full time, they usually don't stay busy all the time. For instance a nice bell at the drycleaning counter can get their attention away from folding for a moment of customer interaction. I see several advantages in economy of scale, such as boiler, etc.
If you own both why do you care if the WDF cuts into the DC business? You get the money either way. Be sure both are priced right though! In the right location I would expect an increase in business for both, the consumer will appreciate the one-stop-shop concept
