How many of you felt the old screws tighten when our friends at RJM hanger-matic sold to Vend-rite. Vend right immediately raised the price of the plastic coated hangers to where the pitiful profit we were making is gone. RJM pitched the hanger machine and the Chup-chup sucker machines and then sold out. I would say that is another fly by night operation for the wood pile! I am not buying their stinking hangers any more. If you take standard shirt hangers and bundle them 5 at a time with a rubber band they vend just fine. I do need a source for the chupa-chup lollipops though. Anybody buying them anywhere?

We never sold too many hangers, or it was just too damn hard to account for the money? We give the customers who ask, free hangers. Great customer service.........
for us anyway.

I buy a case of 500 heavy duty for $27.50 and a case of 750 lightweight for $30.00 Cost about 5c each. If you give the occasional few away so what the heck.

Hi ndennis, 5 cents a piece for hangers isn't too bad a price. Does that include shipping too? Where do you get them? I've had trouble finding a source that costs anything less than 8 cents each, including shipping. Thanks. Bill

Hi Kern

I tried to email you but the email was returned.

Try your local drycleaner. Most drycleaners buy by the box 500 heavy duty or lightweight 750 by box. If that does not work have a look in the Yellow Pages to see if there is a manufacturer close by, or even ring some of the drycleaning suppliers. We also encourage customers to return some of the hangers that are left in the dark cupboards. I am reliablely informed by one customer that the blighters have sex. He returns a lot more that we give him. Recycling can be very profitable. If some one returns a lot I always give some small token to the customer. We have pens with our name on htem. Now don't laugh but I have sherbert lollypops for the kids that I give away. He loves them.

Hi Dennis, thanks for trying to email me. My email is ikern@hvc.rr.com. That should work I've tried several drycleaners in my area for both places to get hangers and for getting extra hangers from them. Alas, the cleaners in our area keep all the hangers they can get. Makes sense since they use so many. The places to get hangers that the cleaners told me about are the ones that cost me 8 cents each, after shipping. So I'll keep looking. BTW, I too understand the breeding abilities of hangers. I also have heard that multiple births are common to the breed!!

Thanks for your time. Bill

Hi Kern

Ask the drycleaners would they buy in two extra boxes for you and pay a small premium to the cleaner. I started off doing this until I found my supplier. I do not know if I told you but my cleaner told me he was buying seconds and that is what I should be buying. He said he could not tell the difference between the first's and the seconds.

Hi Neil, thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought about seconds. And asking to piggy back on an order for hangers with a dry cleaner is a great idea too.

BTW, who do you use for a source of hangers?

Hi Bill

After a lot of ringing around would you believe I found a small manufacturer only 8 miles from me. He is very obliging. I guess that (I have to be carefull here) luck beats class every time. My daughter is always saying that if you keep on ringing around you will find some one that can help you. She runs my business for me now. She does a very good job, just like here father.

Hi Neil, can you please tell me who the manufacturer is that is close to you? And how to contact them? Thanks. Bill
