Hey Duane! Nice little article in the Journal this month, eh? Looks like they interviewed some pretty knowlegable people for the article! It must be fun catering to the college crowd. When I was shopping for businesses, I looked a mat near a college, but it was sold before we had time to think things through. I had lots of ideas of ways to attract the college kids (Internet Hot Spot, Web site with a forum where kids could submit laundromat jokes - comics - movie clips etc. in exchange for a free wash or 2), and some of the stuff you are doing. I would love to have a card store, but I am afraid that my clientel (25% seniors, 50% non-English speakers) would be scared by one. I have ALOT of seniors who wont use anything more complicated that a top-loader. No such problems with the college crowd I am sure.
Loved the story about the card won in a poker game!

Hi Spin, I drove by a mat in Milford named "Spin City" was that yours?

Thanks for the compliment. Actually I found that the elderly like the card system and take to it very well. They like the fact they only need to swipe the card once, rather than dropping 18 plus quarters in to a big washer. Spanish speaking customers also take to the CCI system very well since they can select the Spanish option and everything is in Spanish.

Well maybe someday I'll covert, Duane. But for now I have too many other things to buy which take priority.
Not me Fishmanz. Just chose Spin City for a screen name, and later found that it is a pretty popular laundromat name also.
