Man, today must be pig day. Much of the people in today have left such a mess. All folding tables were wiped twice, for the same customers, and the crud left in the washers AND dryers, wow!

It even got worse, some guy brought overalls and stuff, and contaminated both his and the machine beside it, and when he left, he added a layer to the floor just where I'd vacuumed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Today we had someone leave a pile of wet powedered detergent on top of a machine, with soap covered finger prints all over it, including on the cion slot. And inside the coin box were soap covered quarters. I am surprised they made it through the coin acceptor, they were so heavily coated with soap.

Where I am it is always a pig day where to start powdered soap everywhere kids throwing m&m,s and stepping on them on the floor sometimes i dont know who is worse the parents or the kids. Bounce sheets all over the floors freedom fries all over the place. I now Know why the various companies that make downy and all the other softeners is so rich most of the softener ends up on top of the machine instead of inside it and many more to mention Thats why we clean 3 times a day(from previous post how much do you pay for cleaning)

Our "pig days" are normally around the first part of the month. It seems that people who don't have to work for a living are not considerate of those who do.

Some kids can be pretty bad, dropping food everywhere, having "demolition derbys" with the carts, and worst of all - pressing or slapping the sides of the top loaders over and over for the BOOM effect!

Man you guys are nice, I just kick them out period. Kids get to run twice and then it bootsville, I am not afriad to disipline and I will even go after the parents, don't like it don't come back. Make a mess, you get handed a rag to clean it up, leave a machine dirty, you are asked to run it again or wipe it out. I let people know that the $1.75 is to use the machine not to act like a pig. I have even gone to thier employers and asked them to pay for the mess thier employees made in my mat. I have been paid every time. I see this as no different than when someone distroys a hotel room you pay to put it back, distroy the mat you pay also. We have been really tough for the last year, kicking the pigs out and the surprise is sales have been climbing, last year we were up 30% and this year we are up 20%. Infact a rig pig was in today and dryed coveralls in a new dryer and he had a grease pencil in his pocket that melted all over the dryer, paid me $20 to clean it for him. I have a problem when a customer comes in pays and leaves it like they found it and then the pig pays the same price, no way not any more in my mat, I have had enough of it.

These are the posts that should be given to new "investors"
Think about the customer base you have, most are not exactly the cream of the crop. If you want neat and clean buy a Mercedes Benz dealership. Many of our customers are stuck in a life cycle that will never end, they do as their parents did. Dealing with the kids is easy. Owning a mat means opening up your space to anyones dirty laundry and the way they do it. I am used to the messy ones, and when I see them I say something. The biggest bitch I have is when they dump their clothes all over the floor from the baskets to sort them that also dump a bunch of cockroaches that go scattering about!

summer college-level geology camp is mobbing my laundromat right now. tonight when I clean I expect to find numerous rocks on the floor, in the washers, and in the dryers.
People at my stores drop so much soap all over the floor and washer tops it makes me want to buy a soap co.

Ha! You guys crack me up. Every day for me is a pig day. I have one family I call "Los Diablos" that is always a problem. They bring their clothes in a trash can (not normally an issue unless you also use the can for garbage, which they do!). They dumped their clothes out to use a large capacity washer and a mouse fell out of the can with their clothes. They had the audacity to accuse me of having mice in the laundromat.
Hang tough guys, it is tough for me too.
