Does anyone know how the aprartment route coin lanudry business works. They provide the space and utilities and you provide the machines? What percentage split do they work on? I would like to explore this as an additional business in my area. That way I can control the pricing in my area better. Your thoughts please.

While I have no idea what is standard I can share my personal experience when I was on the apartment owner end of the business only. We own several apartment complexes and the agreement we had with a local company was that they provide the machines, all the maintenance on the machines, and we provided the utilities. The split was 50/50. They obviously offered us less but we negotiated it to this point. This was several years back when we took over them ourselves after buying several laundromats and putting our own equipment in the complexes.

50% is the standard,a few large chains are doing that in my area, this is not a new idea, just like most video arcade games, pinballs on location.I used to have video games on location,a few ideas and suggestion:
1,fine the right owner/loaction is the hardest parts.
2,you will need to buy extra insurance.
3,how much time do you have?can you do youer own service?machines on location get broken or broken into very often.

Another business model is just leasing the machines to the apartment owner. He gets to keep all the revenue, count the quarters, etc. He pays you a lease on the machines, and calls you for repair help. Add in a fee or separate charge for vandalism, and you might find yourself with an even easier business.
