I've had a Scan Coin counter for about five years and have had no problems. I bought it at the Clean Show for about $1000.

Make my wife do the bill counting. Bought a cheap currency counter about 6 months ago made by Baijai. I didn't shop around, this was more of an impulse buy. Think I pay about $300 bucks for it. What a time saver, she loves it and now has time to make me dinner LOL.

I bought a used Brandt currency counter about 15 years ago. It came out of a bank, and I think I paid $100 or so for it. It's still working flawlessly. I still sort and count by hand, but verify my counts with the counter. One of the best $100 I ever spent.

I considered buying one whern I installed the changer, and in my research found that the users on the autocareforum.com had lots of comments and suggestions for counting/validating bills.

I have at least 12 currency counters. I love these things. My thumbs don't move right or something.

My favorite is the Glory GFF-8. This thing is built like a tank. It is great at catching doubles, by checking the density of the passing bill.

You can find these inexpensively on Ebay.
