Can anyone recommend a good brand of Stainless Steel cleaner?

I would check out a good commercial stainless steel cleaner at a restaurant supply, or Home Depot. You have to be very careful when using products like CLR, Lime Away, or muratic acid. Although they will get rid of soap scum, they also stain stainless steel. Once you get them clean, if you go over them with lemon oil or WD-40, they look great, but it is a pain constantly keeping them up. Prompt clean up of detergent and/or bleach spills goes a long way towards keeping them looking good.

I use Zep Stainless steel cleaner from Homedepot for $4.89 a can. It works great! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Try mineral oil. You can buy it a feed store for about $12.00 per gallon. It protects the finish and is non toxic.

A product called Shelia Shine is the best I have found. It is available at most any janitorial supply companies.

Jeff, I think that is a terrific price. I quit using it because I was paying over 30.00 per gallon. It seems to do nothing but "oil" the steel. Any cheaper oil will do the same thing.
Laundry Mike...I use acids to resurface stainless on a regular basis. This is simply the way it is done. You are correct in that not just anyone can handle the job. You are of course burning the surface and it must be done carefully. There is no other way aside from sanding to restore the steel and even I wouldn't do that. All these people are doing with the oil is covering it up.
By the way, this is ok as my employees do it too.

I have been using Swell Stainless Steel Cleaner and it works Great...
We just spray it and wipe out the front panel on the Wascos Gen4 and makes it look clean and shiny. My 11 years old Wascomat look like new.
It costs about $16.00 per gallon.

That stuff sound really "swell" Buddy, and a lot cheaper than the others. Where do you buy it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
