My mat is located in NE Ohio, where we feel the effects of winter. My business always drops off during the winter months, until people begin to get spring fever in mid March/April. You'd think that laundry would not vary much, but mine drops off at the same time of year that expenses are the highest. How does the winter months effect your business?

My business goes up in September and down in June. My guess is that it's school clothes, or long sleeves and pants make for bigger loads. My best month is March for some reason. My store is in the Atlanta suburbs.

Spring is my busiest time of year - people putting away winter clothes, and breaking out the Spring/Summer stuff, washing comforters, curtains, and blankets. Just the thought of it, and I start to get spring fever myself. Spring can't come soon enough! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Two of my mats have a 40% flucuation. March is our best month (lots of tourist and agriculture workers). Sept. is our slowest. The other two mats have about a 20% flucation.

My mat slows down in the summer when kids are out of school.
Less cloths to wash and many people in Texas still dry on clotheslines when it's hot. It usually picks up good after the state fair.
