Did anyone read the ad in this month's journal on page 41 regarding laundromedia.com? I spoke with the owner and am interested in signing up. Any other thoughts pro/con?

if it makes money at no cost to you -- sure why not???
Not sure I would want pictures of tweetie bird and movie trailors poster smeared all over my machines though - if it's just on tops in the back of the store or something that's one thing - I would just be cautious of that - could be an eye sore

The ads might leave a sticky residue when you try to remove them later. Customers probably will not like looking at hamburgers and french fries if they just ate prior to coming to your store. And the ads on the doors blocks them from viewing their clothes while its being washed/dried. But for $1k/mo extra income it could be worth it.

I wouldn't think of garbaging up my nice laundromat for a few thousand bucks a year advertising somebody else's product. I do nice, neat, instore advertising which spells out the benefit of using my laundromat versus my competitor laundromats however.

I sell advertising space on my vtm screen. $40 one time set up fee. $20 a month thereafter. Other local buisnesses like it. I have 3 of them plus my own ad. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hi Brite,
A VTM is a Value Transfer Machine. It is how the customers add value to their card to wash and dry with. It is a computer with a screen that you touch instead of using a mouse. I have 2 of these mounted in the wall. I don't have changers because my store does not run on any coins at all. All the money,(bills only), is in these 2 machines. I sell advertising space on it. The picture changes every 20 seconds, or however I set it to change. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
