new laundry

Help. I will be opening a new coin laundry and am looking for advice on equipment. I have been talking with a Continental distributor and of course he says these are the best. If anyone has experience with continental equipment I would greatly appreciate your comments.

There are several manufactures and they will all say that they are the best. Do you know how to tell when a salesman is lying? His lips are moving...

Check out all manufactures, do your homework, visit other laundries in the area, take everything into consideration. One thing to really consider with utilities soaring is the option of all High Eff. washers instead of top loaders. The extra costs of the equipment will be returned in your monthly utility bills. Besides, some areas are considering to phase out toploaders all together so do your homework.

Some owners like one brand and others swear by another. I myself have a full Maytag store with HE machines and so far everything is going great. My choice will be different than most, but for my type of store, my location and customers, Maytag suited me just fine.

I am sure you will get several posts to your question and each will probably be different.

Will you be running unattended? Card system? Camera system?

For washers first choice is Wascomat, second would be Speed Queen/Heubsch.
For dryers first choice is ADC.
