You wont go wrong with dexter. Check the CFM and BTU before you buy.

BTU input and Air Flow CFM of dexter is 80,000 per tumbler and 500 CFM, while ADC is 136000BTU/hr and CFM is 400.
Can you explain this ?? which one is good??
By the way, how about speed queen stack dryer??

Wouldn't you be better off comparing ADC and Dexter dryers of similar specs? You are doing the equivalent of comparing two cars here, say a sports car versus an SUV. Pick two with comparable BTU ratings, its the only fare way to compare them.

All makes of dryers are designed to dry clothes. Personally I don't care what the BTU or airflow ratings are. If that were the case we would all be driving Dodge Vipers. My most important consideration is overall quality. I want a dryer that is going to be extremely reliable, and engineered with servicability in mind. Right now I operate the Heubsch single pocket and ADC330 stack dryers. I used to have a store full of Dexter 80,000 btu / 500 cfm dryers, which I operated for years, and it was one of the happiest days in my life when we replaced those pieces of scrap. I keep detailed service records, and the frequency and cost of repairs to Dexter dryers is UNBELIEVABLE. As far as the Heubsch stack, I don't like the idea that you have to pull the basket out to change the belt. I'm also not sure if the two motors per unit is a good or bad thing. So to answer the question of what I look for in a dryer, it would be quality, reliability, and servicability.

I had new ADC 530's and 50's installed at the end of 2000. Not a whimper of problems out of them. I picked ADC because they are a true commercial dryer company that only does dryers. I also picked them because I wanted radial airflow with the belts in the back. In talking with other store owners, I quickly learned that ADC was the way to go, and my washer distributor also carried them.
