go to this page:
http://www.coinlaundry.org/ubbthreads/editdisplay.php?
Look for "Which style sheet (skin) do you want to use for your display?" and choose a different one. Only YOU can decide which one you like best.

Hmmm, that's interesting...I didn't touch anything, but sometimes the color turned to very ligh grey and sometimes dark blue, more likely BLACK.....

Just edit your profile and change the skin to what looks best to you.

I agree, the colors are terrible. I have tried the 2 different skins, niether is any better.
I've complained politely in the past about the difficulty reading the posts on the Forum. Was told there is nothing wrong technically (they couldn't duplicate the problem) but this can't be true. IMO, someone should really look into this - this is not rocket science. Neither style 'skin' solves the problem of legibility... Please don't take your contributors & readers for granted...

Ned,
Although the post titles may be difficult to read, the post itself (what you are reading now) should appear as black lettering on a white background. Very easy to read. Isn't your's that way?

Larry,
That's true. The posts themselves are totally legible - it's the posting titles that are very difficult to read (sometimes impossible). Oftentimes, I have to click on a post thread without knowing the subject matter... this gets tiresome after a while...

We are looking into this problem. Last time our tech couldn't seem to replicate it when he viewed it. I will stay on it.

tell the tech to take off his sunglasses!
The problem is under the "discussion forum" part of this web site that shows the posts.

I have the same problem whether I use IE or Netscape. Depending upon which skin I choose, I either can't read the headings on the Main Index, the headings within each topic or the text inside the postings.
I don't know what setup your tech has, but it obviously is different from what a lot of the users have.
If they want more details, just ask.

looks like the title I didn't click shows dark background, but the ones that clicked and saw already turned to light grey background....so maybe it's related to "LINK" setting. e.g. "unvisited link", "visited link", things like that....
no big issue, but if CLA tech. can change the background of cell color more bright one, it could be wonderful for everyone...
just my two cents...

this morning it happened again, I am right...
it's "VISIT" and "UNVISIT" problem,
I believe CLA tech needs to customize the color for unvisted link and visited link same color.

what happens is one line is light grey, the other line is very dark, but only two line from the top aredark, all others are light grey. CLA teck should correct this problem.

Ok. We're going to get this fixed.
Three of us using IE6, IE7 and Firefox were not able to re-create a case where the titles were not visible. I've read posts, logged out and back in and have never been able to re-create the issue. Nevertheless, I changed the background color slightly of the table. Here's what it looks like for me.

If my tweak didn't fix the problem and someone knows how to re-create it please post the following:
1) Browser used
2) Steps to take to re-create it repeatedly
3) Screen shot would be great if possible
We'll get this fixed once and for all! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
--- EDIT ----
AFTER I POSTED THIS MESSAGE I was able to finally re-produce. For some reason I never have seen a row highlighted in blue telling me I haven't read the thread, while I was logged in someone must have posted a new message and finally I was able to see the blue on blue. I changed it to a happy yellow now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Please reply to this post if you run into further problems. Thanks!
