We are trying some different things to boost business a little. I have had this idea for awhile and Now I am finally going to do it. I am going to spraypaint about 20 quarters gold and mix them into our coin hoppers. I put a sign on the hopper saying if you turn the quarter in to the attendent you will get a 30lb wash session.
What are your thoughts?

I think it is a good idea. However, I do not know if that is enough incentive for new customers to come to your mat. It will make the existing customers happy. I would be tempted to try your idea with less gold quarters & give away gift certificates. I would also promote to the public somehow. We have unattended stores so this is the only way we could go. Good Luck!

A large laundry chain in IL,IN,WI has been doing this promotion for years.
I don't know if it works or not.
I used to have punch card but the store has to be fully attended and emplyoyees gave customers too many credit (punch).

My comment sounded like I have done a similar promotion, which I have not. My promotion is usually a $50.00 gift certificate to Best Buy. Sometimes it is as simple as filling out a entry form & once I ask the customers to fill out a survey with their name & number at the bottom as an entry. This worked well....a lot of input! I am also looking for other promo ideas for my unattended stores. Any ideas? THANKS!
