We have this change machine in our laundromat, and one customer fortunately brought to our attention that the machine kicked out the original coin with the change, basically giving money away.

Well after some days of cleaning and so on, it would still happen, (only when front door shut), so we sent the 330 module inside to the company for repairs (no problems).

Well with all information in hand we studied it hard, and then it hit me, the inserted coin on its way down would hit the edge of coin catch hopper below the 330, then bounce off the quarter hopper and land back in the change out bin and end up in the exit hole with the quarters.

A simple 3 by 2 inch peice of cardboard taped in the gap from the 330 to the coin catch fixed this, just thought I would pass this information on.

Is this a design flaw, or an individual situation?
How much did I loose before this nice lady let me know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ?

Facts:
Machine is completely level
Always maintained well and cleaned
Canadian Money (happens with loonies-$1.00 and twoonies-$2.00)
Cashflow 330 inside for coin acceptance

I’m sorry to hear about the problems you’ve experienced with our SC62 Change Machine. I think I may have an idea of what has happened. The plastic adapter bracket that the Mars 330 fits into has two covers that can be removed. It sounds like you may be missing the lower piece that covers the coin accept chute. If you wish, you can send me a note at kkious@standardchange.com if you would like to confirm this.
