Can't seem to get the correect igniter for a 1993 Maytag/American stack dryer. This model has a decal inside lint access door and both model and seriel numbers have worn off every dryer in the store.
Has front pull out gas assembly but this igniter is small and side mountd with a permanantly attached spark plug type wire. The wires have been crumbling and no spark to tip. I have been keeping them running with regular applications of electrical tape to insulate.I have been getting the plate mounted assembly with three probes(igniter/flame probe)but unless there is a mod to be done this seems to be for another model.

Thanks in advance,

WASHDE

techsupport@amdry.com E-mail ADC tech support and ask them for the correct part number. Now I got to ask why this is happening to you? Do you have enough make-up air? I have the same models(1991) and I have never had this problem. It sound like you have a air flow problem.

When you e-mail them tell them your make and model number

It is not my store but your thoughts are correct, not enough make up air is causing a lint build up which is then burning off and ruining the wire.
Thanks for the ADC link.
