Water Consumption Measurement

I have now gotten my second water bill that has numbers like 52.00, 85.00, 66.00 for the monthly consumption. The clerk has no idea the unit of measurement or they say that it is cubic feet. Well .... looking at the equipment and the statement gross, 5,200 or 8,500, or 6,600 cubic feet would be in the ball park, but not 52, 85, or 66 cubic feet.

Any ideas what is the unit of measurement or how to determine the unit of measurement?

Most likely they are in hundred cubic feet - that is the unit my water company used. Multiply the numbe by 748 and you will get gallons.
