Does anyone have any ideas for marketing towards specific targets? We were thinking of hosting a bingo game to get more of the retired population to do their laundry with us. WHat about the Hispanic population? Has anyone ever tried "theme night" for their laundromat? Maybe a kids night one night, and a study night the next in order to target specific groups of people different nights of the week? I don't want this to deter groups of other people from coming in on those nights, though. Anyone hav e any ideas? We are going to put an ad in the yellow pages... we haven't done so yet, because there are so many different yellow pages offered in our area! We have done so many marketing things that have flopped... namely, advertising on the backs of Safeway coupons and doing a direct mail campaign. Any ideas that have worked better than others? Thanks!

I've been to phoenix a bunch for real estate related stuff and I remember the area having low vend prices. What part of town are you in, because that will have an impact on your promo's. I once had a green chili cook off at one of my locations in el paso; it went over like a lead balloon, because it was a predominately black demographic, I follow that up with a barbecue and it went over much better. Isn't Phoenix pretty segregated, with a mostly black population in the south, and white up north? Latinos? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Also, I read your post about the distributor leaving town, I've never heard of such a thing. The manufacturer should have kissed your a#@. What brand was he selling, so I can avoid him if he comes over my way?
