Would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with a force feed wastewater connection for your laundry. I am evaluating a site for a coin laundry which currently only has a force feed system available which will involve a motor/pump(s) for pumping into the wastewater system. An obvious downside to one would be ramifications of a failure of your pump/motor or the operators pumping system. Any info. would be appreciated.

We have been using a sewage lift station at one of our locations for 20 years. We are currently using a Zoeller 1HP 3 inch submersible pump. They are available from Grainger for $600.
We also keep a spare for emergencies.

Before you commit to the laundry have the utility give you the specifications in writing so you can get a few quotes.

Our utility wanted us to hook up to a higher pressure sewage line. The quote was $35,000 for a new lift station. We declined and stayed with our old system.
Good Luck,
