I am a potential Laundromat investor and would like everyone thoughts on advertising. I am looking at a formerly rundown MAT that now is in great condition. What forms of advertising of best in this business? Direct Mail? Lawn Signs? Newspaper? Door Hangers?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Word of mouth. It is the best and it is free!
Flyers and door hangers also work well. Remember, a laundromat is a local service so concentrate on you local area.

A NICE sign in the front window with a special to get people to come back and try you again is the best way. Maybe give a special price for a month or two on the slowest machines in the store. ( Not toploaders ) I do a special on triple loaders once in a while for a month or two. It costs very little and it helps the turns on slow machines.

I put signs on my truck bed with discount on my 20 lb machines ( Only have three ) and parked it out on the street in front of strip mall so drive by folks can see. NEW air conditioned coin laundry. I am seeing a lot of new faces. If I could only learn them to use a little soap not three cups for a wash.
