Had a guy come in with a boatload of laundry. Filled up about 6 machines.
Before he put his clothes in, he THOROUGHLY sprayed the machines and door glass with Lysol.
He said you just can't be too careful.
Not sure, but I would think with the amount of bleach I see most people dump in, I don't think it would be a problem.

I encourage it. The more cleaning my customers do, the less myself or my cleaning service have to do ;-)

I had one on Saturday wiping down the dryer with rubbing alcohol....
SEFLaundry, I wouldn't allow a customer to wipe out any of my dryers with a flammable liquid.

One of my attendants recently reported that we have the same thing. Except that this guy also over sudes by putting liquid in the top, plus powder in the wash tub - so she ends up having to mop up after this guy. My attendant will try to coach him next time - if he keeps it up after that - I will ask him to do his wash somewhere else.
I;ve got you all beat! I had a lady come in and start a washer. When I walked past it, I noticed that it was empty! I thought she started it, forgetting to put the clothes in first, so I asked if she needed help. She told me no, she was running the machine with bleach and detergent in it to clean it before washing her clothes!
I offered to advance the machine for her each time it filled, so she only needed to wait 10 mins instead of the full 24. She then paid again, and washed her clothes in her "clean machine". I wish more customers would adopt this habit!

I had a homeless guy that did the exact oposite. He felt his clothing was so dirty that when he finished his wash he paid to run the machine empty to clean it out for the next person.

I wish all the horse people in my area would do that after washing their saddle blankets!

Haha... some of those are classics. I had a lady accuse me of trying to steal her car and start ringing the police when she couldnt find her car keys. She also accused some poor guy sitting on the lounge of the same thing.
We quickly pulled up all the sofa cushions and found them down the side of a lounge where she wasnt even sitting (dont ask me...)
Funny thing is she came in the next week all smiling and helloing like nothing had even happened.
Love to hear some more crazy customer stories ... it helps to know im not alone

To All,
Back in the early 1970's, I had a young customer who was talking on the payphone (remember those?). She was wearing hot pants and a halter top and she looked real nice. Some dudes from a local band were also doing their laundry at the time. One of them was walking toward the exit to go out to his car but he was looking at the girl on the payphone instead of where he was going. He walked right through the plate glass window of my door. Fortunately only his ego was hurt.

I had one about a 2 months ago blow drying her hair.
I told her she could not do that and she said "do you want me to go out with a wet head?"
