when reading specifications I come across usage xyz gallons per cycle. My question is if i have one wash and two rinses that should mean 3 X xyz gallons = total gallons for one run of machine. Or is the definition of one cycle one complete wash and rinse = one xyz?

Dale,

A "cycle" generally refers to the wash bath and all rinse baths combined. When a washer fills one time (for a wash or a rinse) we call that a "bath".
