Just wait, if congress screws around with the economy much more gas may be going for half that amount.

Combine that with a lock down on credit preventing low income to not be able to finance new washers and dryers for the home plus more people moving to apartments because of foreclosures and while you can label it as profiting off the misery of others, it's still profit.
Plus, as purchasers of equipment, we may end up with lower prices on equipment as we gain more negotiating clout.

So does this mean everyone will be raising dryer times back to 10-15 minutes per quarter?
I think I'm going to cry!

Just received my latest. $1.32/therm down from $1.57 last month.
Glad it came down when it did. We doubled our gas usage last month due to the power outage here in Ohio.

$1.54/therm plus $20/month for the privilege of paying a gas bill
I wish I could shop for gas like some of you. There's nothing in place here in CO that would allow me to do that. I live right on top of one of the biggest natural gas fields in the country, you'd think they could do a little better than that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sept gas cost .99 a therm, due to a spike at the expire via hurricane Ike, with all taxes, delivery etc 1.43. Can't wait for Oct bill... Oct went off at .7472 Pass thru should be going down due to conditions. Delivery/ franchise is about 36 cents. I am thinking I get billed 89 or less for net gas this month. If total costs get under a $1 I am very very happy..

To All,
Getting back to Natural Gas which affects our budgets more than gasoline does; the US natural gas supply is expected to increase by 8% in 2008. In fact, more US natural gas wells have been completed THIS YEAR than any year in history. Natural gas is now so plentiful that drillers are considering CAPPING SOME NATURAL GAS WELLS.
This is all good news for our budgets and, indirectly, good news for our customers.

I was at my mat today and a little old black lady asks me if I am going to change my dryers back to the old price. I said I wish I could but my expenses are getting higher all the time and if I want to stay in business I need to charge that. She then told me that natural gas futures are down and thought I should pass it on to customers. I was shocked when she said that, but told her my costs rent, wages, water have been on the rise. WOW

So funny! I guess if you have raised your dryer pricing with the rise in NG you could cut back some. That would mean you are at 4 min a quarter now.. from 10 min a year ago.

Hey Jeff,
Whats your current dryer prices? I'm surprised customers would follow natural gas prices.
