I recently bought two used maytag neptune washers. I cannot set them up because they are in the das mode. I got the code from maytag to get out of the das mode but it does not work. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong. maytag says the same code works for toploader and dryers and will work for the neptunes. could it be differant?

It's a Maytag diagnostic mode. I had a salesman try showing off to me once with a palm pilot and he tried to show me some stuff on a Neptune. When he left it was in the DAS mode and I could not get it out of that mode. They told me over the phone what to do but it never worked, finally I told them to come down to fix it since they caused it. You might have to call for a service call to get it fixed, but it can be fixed.

After a phone conversation with our distributor they faxed instructions on the procedure. It must be followed precisely and done smoothly and done without time lapse. It took a while till we got the hang of it but we finally have them in operation.
