Is anyone aware of any Laundromats which are located in a Mall, not a stripp mall, a regular indoor mall? I am very curious about this idea nad would appreciate any opinions and feedback.

I also have been thinking of putting in a small mat in our local mall. Our mall only takes a certain percentage from coin operated devices. The 20% they charge would include utilities and rent. It seems to be a great deal for a mat.

My largest concern is being able to keep the customers from shopping all day with their clothes still in the machines.

Set up some pagers to page them when their wash is done?
Do WDF?
Attended?
Need an outside exit close to parking, who wants to carry their laundry that far?

Still thinking about it, sorry.

Duane.

I think people might be reluctant to drag their dirty laundry through a mall.

Not only people are reluntant to drag their dirty laundry, but the landlord will surely dislike it. And the zoning regulations may not even allow a laundromat in a mall. Technically, I believe it will cost more to build a mat in a mall envirnoment.
