Sometimes the only thing we can do is sit back and scratch our heads. Got a complaint this morning from a lady whining that her clothes were too dry after using a new front loader.

Tell her that it is a new "dry" cleaning machine /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
AlanR, Instruct her to place them into a dryer immediately. Explaining that customers often complain about their clothes coming out of the dryer still wet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Then there are the folks who take their stuff out of the top-loader and put them in the front load washer next to it thinking it is a dryer.

I always love the ones that put their clothing in washer "X" and then proceed to start empty washer "Y".

Friday afternoon, a customer yelled out angrily: "Damn! I did it again." Then she called me over to the top-loader she had just filled with her laundry. I asked her what was the matter. She told me that she had started the washer next to the one she had loaded. (And she added that she'd done the same thing last week!)
But the washer she had started was not empty...it contained a load that had been previously washed by another customer who had not yet returned to unload it. It was now filling with water. Just then, the other customer returned, expecting to unload her stuff and put it in a dryer. She began yelling at me because the load was now being washed again because the first customer had restarted her washer... The first customer then began yelling at me, something about "why do all of your washers look the same?" It was all I could do to keep myself from laughing out loud at the two of them! I got the key, and rapid-advanced the timer to the final-extract step... Gotta love this business!

It seems like I get the same problem on my top loaders like once every 10 days. It just gives me and my attendants a good laugh. I even have arrows on the top of the meter housing which points to the correct machine.

Those signs are great except for the fact nobody reads signs.
