I believe the standard for laundromats is 34" high. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy one from? Who do you buy your tables/chairs from?

Thanks,
Paul

Try www.solomatic.com. (http://www.solomatic.com.) They have all the laundromat tables and chairs.

DO NOT BUY THE SOLOMATIC LAMINATE TABLES. They are made like junk now. They put the formica over fiberglass and very thin and weak. My old formica solomatic tables were heavy duty, not the new ones. Also they are very expensive.

Jeff, where is a good place to buy tables now? I haven't bought any for a long time, but would also like to know a good place for the future.

Jeff, I still buy solomatic tables and chairs... I think they are sturdy. You are right, they're pricy, but have no problem with them.
Wildcat.. I get them from my distributor, because I get a discount. Shop the usual sites on the net for the best deal for you..

Keep in mind that I am new to the industry but I built my own tables using kitchen countertops. I framed in a base with basic lumber, wrapped it with a wainscoating and installed a countertop. I did the height at 32" which i receive many positive comments on how much easier that is to fold then those "real high ones".

It looks great and is very functional.....time will tell if it holds up as well as the traditional ones. Six months old and looks great.

Brian,

Solomatic's tables are 36" high because they are designed for people to stand at them. This height reduces back fatigue as the user does not have to bend over constantly. Your 32" height is actually closer to the height of a kitchen table which is 30" high. A kitchen table is, of course, designed to sit at.

I've been buying Solomatic tables for decades and they've always proven to be very durable. Of course, like everything, they get more expensive with each passing year.

I also bought solomatic for years and just feel the quality and durability are not there anymore. I came across these tables and thought I would buy some next time.
