Friends,
We want to start a monthly raffle to drum up new business. We were thinking of creating a "wash club" with individual card membership (for free) and those joining would be eligible for the monthly drawing. We were thinking of raffling Ipods, movie tickets, restaurant meals, etc. -
Any suggestions on how to set this up? Ideally, we'd like to have a big fishbowl with the monthly raffle tickets piling up throughout the month for the customers to see. For example, we have 3 different size washers -18#, 35# and 50#s. For every wash, the attendant would give out 1 ticket for 18#, 2 tickets for 35#, etc.? Also, would our attendant sign each raffle ticket and write the customer's phone number or wash card number on it, then deposit the raffle tickets into the fishbowl based on how many washes the customer just did? Should we have first, second & 3rd prizes each month? Any legal issues? Any other ideas for prizes? I guess we could also include Wash & Fold customers, too.
Based on your own experience, any suggestions or pitfalls we should watch out for in setting this up? Thanks in advance for your ideas...
