Hello,
My bill for Q3 was $1500, Usage went up 20%, and I got Q4 bill and it was $385!!!!
At the end of Q3, they moved my water meter, so that it was parallel with the ground. Could that have made the difference?
Was I paying for someone else's water?
I don't get it and I don't want to call and ask the water co.

eighty20,
your meter might be registering slowly, I wouldn't say anything. At one time I was fortunate to have that problem and didn't no it. My water bill would come every 2 months and be about $500 to $600 I thought that was normal until I got a bill for $3,000 and almost died. I called the water company and they came out and did a test on the meter and said it was registering properly but they still put in a new meter. I soon had to raise my prices My competitors must of had a hard time competing with me. About 3 years ago it started to happen again, my bills started dropping every two months $3,000 $1,000 down to $300 I was not going to call this time. After I got the $300 bill It went back up to normal. I hope it happens again.

kenny, I think the city figured out that you dug up the buffalo box and installed a bypass valve. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So should I expect a double bill next time?

Eighty20,
If the meter starts working properly you should get a normal bill, If not good for you. You should put some money aside for the average cost of the bill so if it goes up you wont be caught off guard. I wish Christmas would come again for me soon. I would probably just by new equipment anyway with the money I saved.
