A lot of variables, but mostly consists of:
Cleaning each day an checking on mat and picking up a couple of times per day.
Stocking vending machines - weekly.
Doing collections - once or twice a week.
Fixing equipment - depends.
Maintaining building - always doing something.
Book work - weekly.
I spend about 20-30 hours per week in or in my mat. Some will spend less, others more. If you are going to do it all yourself, it is not a hands off business. You will spend a few hours each and every day at the mat. You don't just show up to collect the money, it can be a lot of hard work.

In addition to Duane's list, you have to check the inventory with the attendants, if any. Handle customer's complaints and verify any refund made. You have to be prepared to work as attendant, if your attendants don't show! Lots, lots of other things, depends on your location and type of operation.

Our stores run with an attendant. We spend during the busy time of the year an average of 35 hours per week
and 25 hours per week during the slower times of the year. We are hands on in just about everything - from
training new employees to printing out the bi-weekly pay checks. Although we are open 7days a week my wife
or I take off or don't go in one day a week. When we leave the business each day we try to spend quality time with each other and
our family. We probably each get several cell phones calls per day for one reason or another.
