View Full Version : considering used wascomat w75 machines?
I have found a guy that has wascomat w75 machines. These are generation 5 and are about 6 yrs old.I can get them for about $400 each delivered.I just opened my 1st laundromat weeks ago and bought brand new generation 6 machines.Would anyone have any suggestions.I'm thinking this is a steal, but may be sorry when they start breaking down.

I have all Maytag equipment, but I have heard that the Gen 5 machines were not as good and the Gen 4 machines.
Why would you want old machines in a new mat??
Maybe someone else can give you some good input on the Gen 5 machines.

I have some 8 year old and 3 year old Gen 5s and I've had absolutely the best luck with them all the do is run and rarely break down. $600 is a pretty good price if the look good. The only problem I've ever heard about them where some door lock issues and I believe they were the early models (early 1990s models)

I think the Gen5 machines are more sturdy than the Gen6, but I agree with Duane -- Why you putting old machines in a store with new ones there already? Did you not open with a full set of equipment?
I have a store full of Gen5's that are 8 years old. I have very few problems with them. They are excellent machines.
