In order to save water utility cost, I think about adjusting water level-reduce water level, if water level lowered, would it influence wash quaility? would it be noticeable? customer complain? Thank you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes customers will notice less water. We have maytag MFR35 and 50's. And they complained about not enough water, so we raised them up from factory spec's and they really noticed and thanked us.

When I put in my 80 pound washer the default water level was at low pre wash and medium regular wash. Customers were complaining that you couldn't see much water in the machine like the machines they were use to using. So I put the water at high lever on all cycles now customers are happy and using the machine some customers that refuse to use it, I had to convince by giving them a free wash. Now I see them using it every week. Some customer wont complain they'll just go elsewhere. It's better to just raise your prices give the customer what they pay for, then to sacrifice the quality of your washers. They will notice it

Kenny,
As you know, I have the same brand 80 lb washers as you. My customers did not like the low wash water level either so I raised it to medium and everyone was happy.
In Huebsch defense, the low wash water level was for a more agressive wash action and to concentrate the detergent more. I could not convince my customers that that was a good idea though.

Most of the time customers dont complain they just go somewhere else. Why not just raise the price than lower the quality of your wash

How about laundry quality? do you think low water wash makes poor washing quality? I think lower water wash cycle makes more suds and produce better quality wash...
I think as long as laudry quality is good, then it shouldn't be any problem... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The customers that dont overload the front loaders maybe wouldn't notice as much. But the ones that tend to overload them will complain that they dont see much water. And when customers dont see water in the machine there going to perceive it to be bad wash quality and trying to convince them otherwise is not going to be easy. This is only your first week doing this let us know when you raise it back. It's real easy to loose a customer but hard to gain a new one. And if you do loose them it's going to be harder to get them back if they find a better place.
Kenny
let them complain, tell them not to overload the machine.... i had the same probelm last week, the customer put so much clothes that there was soap still on the clothes. i re did the cycle and same thing he loaded the hell out of the machine, dont let customers take advantage of your busioness

OH YES MY DRYERS ARE AT 190% . what is the last thing the customer remembers at the laundry. hot hot hot dryers building loyalty.

Chad,
Even when the customer don't overload the machine and fill it to the right capacity will notice the water level, if it was to be lowered. Nothings worse then lowering your dryer time to the customer but lowering the water level is probably up there with it. They'll just think your machines don't work.
Kenny
why would someone lower there water leval? bad business.... if you are trying to save money up your vend prices. customers will go else were when you only give them 90% of what they shuld be getting...
sorry i was talking about when customers overload the machnes and complain about the water leavel.... my bad.
