One our laundries has 28 whirlpool top loaders (purchased in 2000). These toploaders are the models with printed circuit control boards. They came with a full three year warranty. In the second year, several of the boards failed and since then 4 or 5 more have failed. These boards cost close to $150.00. When under warranty no problem, but now that we are having to replace it is getting quite costly. Is anyone else experiencing board problems with these machines? any suggestions on where to get these boards repaired at a reasonable rate? any experience with Whirlpool technical support on the problem? any leads on where to purchase replacement boards at a cheaper cost? Any info appreciated.
