Wascomats washer & dryers seem expensive, Speed Queen seems average. Does anyone have any "real" comments on the Dexter line of Washers & Dryers?

You raise the age old arguement is Ford better than GM. Those that own Ford will give you one answer while those that own GM claim their cars are better. The point is if you want an opinion that is worth anything you need to talk to someone that owns both of the same vintage.
Further, Wascomat is no more or less expensive than other brands - it all has to do with the distributors you are dealing with as list price means nothing.

I've owned and operated both Fords and Chevys, and can unbiasedly say (as the operator of both brands) that Wascomat is much better. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif washers that is - I don't know about the new Wascomat dryer. I have purchased and operated Dexter dryers, but now have ADC and Heubsch - both much better than Dexter.

We have own all the brands mentioned above and i can tell you that they all work about the same. I like the look of the Dexters and the customers think that the dryers dry the clothes quickly. But, we found that all the dryers are very close in drying time.
I think the installation and your comfort level with your distributor is more important than the make of the equipment.
Good Luck
