Guys,

I recently heard that with the end of Obama's CARS program; Congress may be considering a Cash For Clunker Appliances Program. Has anyone else heard about this? I certainly hope it's just a very bad dream that I had.

It was mentioned on our local Fox news last night.
We have a program that our city utility company has implemented along with our local gas company to help those that purchase certain energy star appliances. I collected a rebate check from them when I installed new front loaders. It helped with my payback on those machines.
I'm not sure what the current administration has in store though.

The "GIRL" program will be starting soon. (G)overnment (I)ncome
(R)edistribution for (L)oosers. Anyone that does not work or pay taxes will have their income adjusted by the government to a minimum level of $100k. This will be paid for so as not to increase the deficit by a 50% income tax surcharge on all the evil people that actually work and earn an income. This program will be very well welcomed by the majority, you know the ones that pay no Federal income tax and are a shoe in to re-elect the Change Machine Obomination.

Yes, it is true.

It is on Yahoo today. The rebate is $50 to $200 dollars.

Lets see what it does to us....

Well, as long as we're nationalizing the U.S. auto industry and health care and the appliance industry; why not just nationalize EVERYTHING? The government can simply assign everyone a job and we'll all do the MINIMUM work necessary for that government paycheck. What do we care if the products we're building fall apart in a month? The government can provide each family with a 200 sf living quarters and we won't have to worry about anything anymore. Wasn't that system tried in the United Soviet Socialist Republic a couple of decades ago?
