I crawled on top of bulk head to vac out p-trap on row of my big washers. not only did i suck up money ( change ) I got a razor blade knife, bullets 22s, a comb, wire , some flat metal, photo id. and a compliment on my butt crack displayed for all it's glory. after the laughter subsided i finished vacuuming out the trap. with my pants pulled up.

I did my dryers when I first took over and got all of the same stuff. The bullet was a AR 15 round though and my list could keep going forever. I made a cool show box with a sign "have you checked your pockets lately."

Haha!

For years in my repair business, I collected everything that came out of dryers in my shop, most were in for resale, and some had a part missing that allowed more stuff to drop out than others.

Anyway, after 10 years, I did much the same thing. got a 2'x3' piece of plywood painted white and hot glued all the stuff I had onto it, with a sign below saying "check your pockets". It's not displayed in my 'mat, but you just gave me a great idea!

I've saved everything we've found in the machines, both washers and dryers, since we opened and my Godson is building me a shadow box in wood shop in which to display all the treasures, but I was going to call the finished project "art". My plan is to be able to open the box and continue to add to the collection. I too will be hanging this in the mat and I think the customers will get a kick out of it. I hadn't thought about the "check your pockets" sign but I think I'll add that as well.
