one time per a couple of months, water problem in store due to outside problem(?), water supply drop almost 1/3 or 1/5 of normal, so most washers stop running a couple of hours,
I don't know who outside use water, but I believe somebody or some people use a lot of water during a couple of hours outside somewhere in city main water line, no water main break, but water supply dropped, and back to normal after a couple of hours, very weird, have you ever seen this kind problem before?

Are you in a freestanding building? Have you talked to the water district?

laundror,

Is this not the same problem you brought up last March under the name "hithere"? At that time, many posters offered ways to proceed to resolve the issue.

If you are not "hithere", then you should begin by discussing your pressure drop issue with your local water department. Perhaps they can offer some specific options to correct the problem.

no, I am not in F.S.D, yes, I talked to local water district people, they don't have no clue and no help. I suspect(maybe I am wrong but) somebody use a lot of water sucking out during a couple of hours somewhere before my city main in-line, but I don't know who they are??
and I don't know how to resolve this issue which happens once a while...
Did you see this problem before?

One of my mat's is in a small town, and they open the fire-hydrant's and flush them every 2 months. I have have never noticed a drop in pressure. But I assume if you are down stream from this you would get lower pressure. I do get brown water afterward and for that reason they are suppose to call me when they are going to flush, and they do most of the time. Anyway something for you to check into.

If you are in a strip center with a common water line, it may be that the service to the building is too small. Have you talked to your landlord about the problem?

I don't think the size matters here, because normal time, no problem, just happens every two or three months reguraly...
as above advised, maybe fire hydrants opens and flushes, but I don't know it could takes couple of hours...and even they do that could drop water pressure noticiably....
I am more suspecting, Fire Truck maybe empty the waters and re-fill it ....
did you see fire house does this regualy?

Add a pressure gauge just after your water meter and when you have a problem you can see exactly how low the pressure goes and for how long. If you experience the problem, but the gauge is normal then the problem is in your store. If you experience the problem and the gauge is lower then it is the water company problem.

Take good notes of times and pressures along with some pictures of the gauge when the problem occurs. Then you can give the water company something to go on.

Duane.

Thanks Duane, I called water guy and he checked the pressure after meter and he acknowleged the pressure drop and problem is not in the store issue, but the real problem is water guys don't know why and how the pressure dropped and backed-up.
