Kleen,
I don't have any experience with commercial accounts.
Check at some hotels that do their own laundry and see what they have as in equipment and how their process works. That should give you a good start.
Also, talk to your commercial customers (or future commercial customers) and see what they need or expect. If it is just sheets and towels then just wash and dry should be enough. Three stars hotels probably don't need much more than that.
If you are just getting into the commercial business, have you looked into the type of contracts? Some contracts are by the pound, some by the piece, and some will have you buy the towels, etc and then charge for the use.
Don't forget a delivery vehicle if you need one and the cost to run it up and down the road.
Any way you go make sure you charge a good price to make it worth your time.
Duane.

A Howard Johnson's has been bringing their stuff in for a week because their washer is down. They won't even dry it. I asked the delivery person if the owners would consider letting us doing everyhting and he said, "No way. They would get a relative all the way from India to come and do laundry before subbing it out."
Your best bet is developing relationships with the motels and seeing how you can market to their customers. I have many customers that come from motels that let us do their WDF laundry. They when they have a major breakdown you are first on the list.

Well , thanks!!
My special thanks to Duane whose comments and suggestions have been very helpful for me.
I've been researching for a while as much as I can about laundry matters and small commercial accounts.
My question came out because one of the dealers I'm talking to did bring up the "finishing equipment " issue, asking if I'm considering ironers , utility tables, etc, in the way I'll be able to do hotels or motels laundry.
As far as I know ( from my own experience staying at small hotels and sneaking around ) they don't carry more than basic laundry equipment .
So I did turn to the this forum to get some comments.

Hope it's not too late to add to your request for information. Anyway, we have a fair amount of business and
commerical accounts. We don't claim to be experts but all we have is one ironing board, iron and starch. Our
client(s) didn't ask for much more than that in addition to quick turnaround time "occasionally" for WDF/FLUFF.
Keeping the client(s) coming and the business growing all chalks up to is very good customer service and
satisfactory wdf/fluff results.
