Is this effective to increase laundry customer?: during two weeks, give one free TIDE detergent to the customer. ( tide: small one for vending machine)

I have in the past went to costco and purchased a big box of tide and dixie cups. i handed out a dixie cup full of tide for a week.
It went over very well.
I also put signs out on the street saying
"COIN LAUNDRY FREE SOAP"
Got alot of attention

door hangers and signs with arrows on the road.

new customers who came due to free soap turn to your royal customers or just temp. ones?

how about coupon? like free wash after 5 visit, things like that...
