Guys,
A local clothing shop, owned by a Korean couple, was held up at gun-point recently. Here's how it all went down:
The couple were minding their store by themselves around 7 PM when in walked a guy with a pistol. As he's ushering the couple into a back room, the gun accidentally goes off ... kablaaaaamm! No one is hit but the husband store owner panics and begins fighting with the gunman. In the scuffle, the robber drops his gun. The husband yells to the wife "get the gun and get rid of it". So the wife picks up the gun and drops it into a toilet.
The husband, now scuffling with Mr Robber on the floor among the racks of clothing, tells the wife to call the cops. The wife cannot speak good English so she calls her sister instead and tells her what is going on. Her sister, who speaks only slightly better English, calls 911 but she's not in the same city where the store is. This delays the alert getting to the local cops and it takes them a full 10 minutes to get there even though the police station is only 3 short blocks from the store.
Meanwhile, back at the store, the shopkeeper is still restraining the robber on the floor and wondering where the cops are. In comes a couple of male customers. The wife pleads "help us ... help us" as they see the scuffle still going on. Do they help? Sure. They help themselves to a nice leather jacket and a few other choice items off the rack and then they leave.
Finally the calvary arrives and arrests Mr Robber. The 2 shoplifters are arrested a couple of days later ... one still wearing the leather jacket. No one was injured during this entire event. Talk about having a bad day at work ... try and top that.
