This question goes mostly out to laundromat owners who have opened a completely new laundry. I was wondering how many months (or years) did you see a steady increase in your monthly gross?
I also would like to know about stores that were existing laundromats but were refurbished in one way or another.
thanks for your time, Adam

Adam,
Good question. I have been open (new store) for almost 18 months and sales are still increasing each month.
Anyone out there with more information on the length of time to build a customer base?
Duane.

Laundromats, whether new, refurbished or those with older equipment can see growth or decline in their markets. While new stores could capture an increasing amount of customers per year, so could the refurbished as well as older stores. Their can be considerable growth when refurbishing and there can be a steady increasing growth when building new. A steady growth can happen in markets with older equipment stores as well. Understanding your market is essential to understanding the potential for growth whether you build refurbish or have an older store.
It all depends on the market in the area you are located.

I saw a steady increase in gross sales in the first 4 years. Breakeven in the third year. The fifth year was flat in sales. Hopefully, this year can do better than last year.

I have done a move and "new store, sales seemed to peak within a 3 months, then slowley go up.
I have seen a new store open, thier sales seemed to peak within 6 months, and are steady now, small increase.
You probably have captured most of your market within 6 months, as far as coin revenue. W/d/f can be a "growed" business.
