Guys,

I was talking to another laundromat operator today and he happened to mention that he had some Continentals that seemed to "get out of balance often". After further discussion which centered around the installation of his hard-mount washers, I advised him that it's great that he securely bolted each washer to the rigid steel base but I really think he should have also bolted the steel base to his concrete floor too. He just has it setting on the floor!

He installed them or the distributor?

Mike,

He buys all his replacement equipment used. I've sold him used washers in the past on more than one occasion. I'm sure he installed those used Continentals without any help or advice from a distributor.

Yikes!

I just about run for cover when I have one frame mount bolt break on a Dexter that DOES have the base bolted down.

Can't even imagine the whole thing being unbolted!

Randy,

Your Mr Egg guy is funny. I recently bought a puppy for the laundromat that rolls around laughing (just like Mr Egg) whenever he senses someone is present. I had to take him home though because he was too loud. Today, Santa stands by ready to sing a Christmas song for whoever shakes his hand.
