Im only a girl, but my first thought is, that the answer to
"Why sell?" has a variety of answers. I suppose the best answer is to address your own question. You must know the answer to your own question.

It is wise to educate your self in how to calculate the revenue and expenses of a laundromat biz. Even though the business sounds like a no brainer, it takes a few brain cells to understand the business and the profitability of a mat. It takes effort, those who put forth no effort most likely will be the ones that are selling their stores?

Number One: Don't believe everything you read (and where are you reading this anyway?)
Number 2: Many reasons for selling besides low profits. Many times health is an issue or just tired of having to always worry about your store when you just want to travel a bit. Sometimes state laws can have a big impact (for instance in my state we have the highest min wage that goes up every year so its getting harder to pay) Just a starter...

Independently wealthy - ha! LOL. If it were that easy, everyone would be trying to do it. Now I have to go count my millions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

there are as many reasons to sell as there are to buy, maybe many more reasons.

Here is a thought: it does not make any difference why the person is selling, it is your decison as to why to buy, not why he is selling.. The dumbest thing you could ever ask a seller is "why are you selling"?

Are we talking Oprah, Donald or 7 figure wealthy? Just my opinion but if your going to
do it with Laundromats, one of the ways is owning many money making laundromats and
invest wisely. Whether any business is making money or not one sells because it's time, yes.
