I was not born in usa,
so, I am curious about this.

why there are so many lazy people in usa?
they have two legs and two arms, but they just stand between traffic lines and waiting some good man to donate some $$ into their basket, they are begging $$, they don't want to work...
There many people who can work, but who don't work, just receive free money and benefits from US Gov....

Why all other hard-working people's tax have to go those lazy people's pocket?

US gov gives free food stamp and $$ for them as well....

I don't understand....

When I lived in NY, they did an article on a street corner guy that stood on the street corner begging, he reported everthing to the IRS, he was raking in about $285,000.00 a year, drove a New Mercedes Benz & lived in a nice new $250,000.00 home from what I remember.

Perhaps it is because of all the illegals in this country. 10's of millions of them stealing our country blind...including our jobs. Add in the fact that a large percentage of homeless resort to alcoholism and are incapable of maintaining steady employment and you can see why some Americans appear lazy. A lot of blame the democrats in this forum. And for the most part I can agree....but it seems to me that the Democrats tax and spend while the Republicans have been spending just like drunken sailors and holding to the "don't raise taxes at any cost philosophy."

They both spend too much but the GOP has gone away from the original philosophy of keeping government small.

Personally I would like to see the GOP get back to *strong defense, *small government, *pro business, *low taxes, *pro-life, etc... that was once the platform of the party

It is NOT the Government's job to provide jobs. Any job that is "provided" tends to breed the bureaucrat/welfare mentality... that is, people "working" only as much as is necessary to not get fired. That's the basic flaw with any socialist system... there is no motivation for a strong, healthy young man work hard to support others when the old, ready to retire guy isn't doing anything to benefit the young man. When all wealth is equal, and everyone has their entitlement share, there is zero motivation for anyone to try to make things better.

Well said. That is the reason the Soviet Union failed.

Most people, if not all, need something to motivate them to work hard. Usually that motivation is money which they expect will allow a better lifestyle. If the person gets the same amount of money regardless of whether he works hard or just puts out a minimum effort, he'll soon settle into the minimum effort mode. People must be allowed to better themselves through hard work. That can only happen when hard workers are not taxed back down to zero extra money for their extra effort.
