Would appreciate any feedback on how much time is needed per week to manage one mat. Can you still keep a fulltime job and be sucessful?

Before deciding to go into the Laundromat business my wife and I talked about this a lot.
She worked in a CPA firm and I did SW programming for IBM. One or both of us planned to
work, it was possible. We found that what you put into your Laundromat (for our area we
have two large mats) was the amount of successes one gets in return. Ultimately we
decided to go with living modestly (certainly not rich;) and spend more quality time together
and with our little ones. It's a decision we never second guess ourselves about. Success is
different for everyone though. Success for us is maybe work 25hrs over a seven day period
during the slow season with no manager (been there done that). Some of that time being
at home or with family -VS- working full time and running two full time attended large laundromats.
If you run a tight ship per se, it's gets easier (not easy) for one to own/manage a laundromat.
In another post it was worded so well, I think by Duane - anyway not only should you being
asking how many hours will you work but "what it is you might be doing". Good luck..
