What scales do current members like for WDF and why?
Total weight capacity, legal for trade, analog/digital, display on both sides for customer and employee???

About three years ago bought two Yamato ACCU 1100 Digital scales (w/large basket) with
max weight to 99lbs.. Yes, legal for trade and the city/state drop by yearly to inspect/certify.
No reason why - so much was going on at the time we were about to open.

The most important thing is to make sure your scale is trade legal. I have Pelouze scales - a digital at one store, and an analog at the other. Both are licensed, inspected and stickered every year, by the city at one store, and the county at the other store. I have the dial/display visible for customer and employee to see. I prefer the platform scales, as opposed to the ones with the basket. It is easier to weigh the incoming orders, as most orders come in a basket or laundry bag already. We use a sharpie marker to write the customer's name, and how many pounds the basket weighs, onto the basket. It makes it easier to keep baskets straight, and to accuratly price incoming orders from repeat customers.
I got a nice used one on EBAY really cheap.
