With the gas prices going up, how many owners are going to .25 for 8 minutes?
Has anyone had experience doing that and it's effects on keeping customers or does it create an exodus?

A time ago when this question was asked the general consensus was to go with 25cents per 8minutes.
This is where we are today plus a 16minutes for 25cents one day a week special. Some out there are
charging 10minutes per 25cents. The bottom line will be what works best for your business. With prices
of gas going up, not sure how much this will impact ones individual gas prices. When we changed from
10min to 8min per 25cents most of the people understood, some complained and very few people "so
called" threatened to go somewhere else. Would say there was minimal exodus.

my mats are around 6 1/2 min per quarter, I lowered them the last gas hike, so this year I did not bother, as gas is cheaper.
I hear everything from free to 5 mins. Depends on your market I guess, we all pay about the same.

I went to 8 mins/.25 three years ago when I bought new dryers. No exodus, some light grumbling, more of a learning curve that it might take an extra quarter to dry.
