Anyone in a coastal town in Florida have a lead for me to buy insurance? CLA will not renew me, they say they can not find coverage. I had no claims for 9 years since I had been open. This was one of the reasons I joined CLA, for insurance. Now what?

Can't a local insurance agent quote a competitive rate for coverage for a laundromat?

This is amazing. The CLA just convinced me to join for their insurance. Something I have easily resisted for 3 years. I can assure you the insurance is the ONLY reason I joined.
Good luck in your search. Again I ask...would anyone consider operating a corporate shell, owning and securing nothing to solely operate the mat with no insurance at all. Disolving upon a serious incident. I assume this is still too risky in some manner but am unsure why.

I had a local State Farm agent quote me $15,000 annual for less coverage than I was already barking about for $3,000 with my then current provider. It seems the only affordable insurance are those that are packaged specifically for the industry with all of those little stupid coverages included.
Thanks for asking.

My former employer had State Farm insurance years ago but found a more competive rate with a local insurance agent. The agent covered all the laundries at a substantial reduction. We had a seperate Workmans comp policy as well. The rate was reasonable.

When filling out the application for CLA insurance, a question ask is “is there a self serve car wash beside location” Does anyone know how that question affects rates?

the part that gets me is they never called to discuss any possible solutions, I only get a certified mail saying sorry.
I would have nixed out any equipment coverage or taken huge deductibles on it, I only want liability. I may put up big signs " enter at your own risk, we can not obtain insurance unless we jack our prices up 50%"
